Having the privilege to reach out and inform Doug that he is the 2016 CGSA / Bayer Superintendent of the Year was a special honour for me as Doug was my first boss and mentor in the golf industry".

In 1985 Doug advanced to become the Superintendent, a position he has held for over 30 years and he carries on the dedication to excellence in golf course management that his father started.
During this period he has hosted the Canadian Men's Amateur, Canadian Men's Mid-Amateur, Canadian Women's Amateur and the Canadian Junior Men's Amateur tournaments. As well, Doug hosted the 2004 CGSA Fall Field Day.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Turfgrass Association for over 30 years, and is the provincial representative on the Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation (CTRF).
